Hello to August!  I have never been happier nor sadder to see August 1st come (and go).  We are officially in the dog days of summer and school is right around the corner.  My, soon to be first grader, will be The First Grader *sniff, sniff* and winter will be around the corner.

Oh May, with all of your rain!  Thank goodness for all the wonderful blogs that linked up to the Tailspin Hop, otherwise what would I have to read huddled with the kids, way under the covers.

The Who to Hang with Award for April!

Last month, I was given a Stylish Blogger Award and thus was born... the Who to Hang with Award!  To check out the original post and to see who my top favorite bloggers are from March's Tailspin Hop 

I am sure you are waiting on the edge of your seat to see who my top 5 picks to follow are for April's Tailspin Hop  so without further fanfare...

It's Your Journey is the Olive Parent's tag line and she does a wonderful job of helping to educate and inform those who are on the path of natural, home birth and breastfeeding.  Olive Parent has a directory, a page dedicated to finding more information elsewhere and of course she writes about it.  Hannaxor, as she is known on twitter, should know a little about the subject she has 7 children!  Where she finds the time to blog I will never know.

The Mean Girl Diaries is witty and funny and I love her confidence!  Case in point: Hey, Dirrrrty!  MG also writes poetry and takes pictures, especially of her darling little girl.

Have Sippy has product reviews but not just any product reviews!  As far as I can see the bulk of them are toy reviews!  Who doesn't love toys?  That is why we had kids right?  Watch cartoons with out judgement and play with their toys?  Honest and down to earth is the best way to describe this wonderful blogger.  She is even sharing her weight loss story and is an inspiration to those of us (well, me) who are trying - Before and After Photos (weight loss).

I must admit, it was the owls and  Hootie Hoot's title that drew me to her site but it is her clever writing that makes me stay.  She is even taking the A to Z Challenge and her ability to come up with interesting topics for each letter is wonderful!

Little Boys are Made of... is one of favorite blogs to read and I do so religiously (and not because she featured me, either). Besides the Friday Spotlight feature she also has an on going 365 Activities series of posts that highlights one activity to do with baby. She is up to #76.

Who to Hang With... My version of the Stylish Blogger

Over the last week I have been very honored to be awarded a Stylish Blogger award by not one but two wonderful bloggers: Little Wonders, Big Dreams and Mommy Memoirs (don't you just love the names!). Thank you ladies, it really means the world to me!

They have actually inspired me to do my own twist on the award and since I co-host a hop I figured this "award" should go to someone on the hop; because they inspired me to give my own award - you guys get one, too. I also talk about myself a lot in my blog, so seven more things about myself seems just slightly more conceited then creating my own award.  Not that I don't enjoy reading other's but I will probably run out topics to blog about if I followed the rules of the Stylish Blogger. Instead, I am sharing why I like the bloggers I follow from the Tailspin Hop.

It is April! New Tailspin Hop! Comment Here!

As I was skipping through the Science Center yesterday chasing the *gulp* toddler and the kindergartner it occurred to me... I forgot to post about the April edition of the Tailspin Hop!  And, over deep fried heaven at my church's fish fry I knew I would not be posting it till the morning!  So, here we are the, wee hours of April 2nd and I am reminding you to join the Monthly Social Media Hop aka Tailspin.  

According to our fearless leader at Tales From the Nursery... last month we had 85 people join!  Yay!  For April, we have three featured bloggers: Some Kind of Wonderful * Momma Bird * Love You Always and Forever.
