What do you mean I have to got to school...?

My kindergartner woke up this morning, jumped out of bed to the window, saw all the freshly accumulated snow and said, "Oh. my. stars!  I have to pinch myself.  Och"  To which I said, "Yep and you still have school."  I will let you imagine the following string of responses and temper tantrum that ensued....

The Husband made the executive decision to let the kindergartner stay home today and as I wait for him to shovel me out so I can go to work, I thought I would share with you the weather report my little boy and I made during the last snow day (officially allowed by the school system).

Snow Hits Cleveland

Oh, Cleveland... Have we forgotten how to drive all ready in snow? 

Don't get me wrong... I am a terrible drive and I admit that, but even I know that four lanes of traffic (two of those lanes heading directly in to each other) is just bad news!  People driving on sidewalks! 

I wish I had a picture of the view I had from the 7th floor of my office building above East 9th and St. Clair last night. It seems everybody left downtown at 3:00 PM.  People who left early still got home about the same time I did which was about 6:00 and I left at 5:20 PM.  I did not have to go down 9th though... 

I hope this is not what we will have to expect for the rest of winter in Cleveland.
